How to Buy

Buying gold and silver is very simple with NZ Mint. Simply call us or fill out our enquiry form and we will walk you through the process.

Once you know the type of precious metal (gold or silver) and the quantity you wish to purchase, call the Mint (0800 696 468) or fill out the Request a Quote form. You will be quoted a live spot price. If you agree with the price you will need to confirm this by requesting a contract. The contract will state the agreed price, quantity ordered and applicable shipping costs.

Once you receive the contract, review it carefully, sign it then fax or email it back to the Mint (fax +64 9 377 6836; email bullion@nzmint.com). Confirmed contracts must be returned within one hour of receipt.

Once you have confirmed your order and to ensure you receive the contracted price, you will need to arrange immediate payment to the Mint. This can be done by transferring the full amount into the New Zealand Mint account. A copy of the deposit slip (or payment confirmation) must also be faxed or emailed to the Mint on the same day the contract is raised.

The only forms of payment acceptable are by telegraphic transfer (bank wire), internet banking and direct credit from your bank account to our bank account.

Note: If confirmation of the payment is not received on the day of issuing the contract the order will be cancelled and you will be liable for the difference between your agreed price and the Mint's sale price of the liquidated bullion.

Payment can be made in NZD$ or USD$ please advise the bullion which currency you wish to pay in.

All orders are shipped on a door-to-door basis and can be shipped only to street addresses (not PO Boxes). Please speak to your dealer about the option that best suits you.
