About the Design

In 1906 Diaghilev settled in Paris and began the biggest Russian-European multicultural project in history which became known as the “Russian Seasons” and “Ballets Russes” (Russian Ballet). In 1907 he produced the first series of concerts of Russian music in Paris.

 

Reverse Design

This three coin set features three of the most well known Russian Ballet figures with an engraved heading and the metal quality and weight of the coin.

 

Obverse Design

The obverse of the coin features the Raphael Maklouf effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, sovereign of the Commonwealth and denomination of Niue $2.

 

Limited Mintage

The Russian Season is Paris Coin Set is struck from 1oz of pure silver. No more than 10,000 coins will be issued by the New Zealand Mint. The coins are legal tender of the Government of Niue.

 

Packaging

This beautiful set of three Pure silver coins will be displayed in a stunning Wooden Music Box with mechanical driven music, which when turned will play the music from the famous ballet Swanlake by Tchalkovsky.
