Are all New Zealand Mint's coins legal tender?

Only those coins issued by sovereign countries are legal tender coins. This does not mean that non-legal tender coins are valued less, as often limited edition commemoratives attract high interest from international collectors and the numismatic marketplace. Limited Edition issues have a special place in that they become a permanent reminder of an event or historic occasion.
 

How often do new coins come out?

The frequency of new coin releases is determined by a number of factors, including the country it is for; what type of series it is (new or ongoing); special release dates and the mintage.

I see a coin or product I like. How do I order it?

First, locate the product you would like, and then simply enter the quantity and click "Add to Order". You may review and alter your order by clicking the "View Order" button at the foot of each screen. Once you have added all of the products that you wish to purchase, simply click on the "Checkout" button and you can precede with your purchase. If you do not already have a membership account with New Zealand Mint, you will need to create one. Can I change an order after it has been placed?  

Unfortunately due to the nature of online sales once an order has been placed in our online system we cannot edit or change an order. However, you can email through your request to coins@newzealandmint.com and where possible our team will make the changes.
 

Can I cancel an order once it has been placed?

Once an order has been placed in our online system you cannot cancel the order.
 

How many items can I buy in one order?

There is no limit to the number of items you can buy online in one transaction. Shipping rates will be calculated based on the total weight of your order at check out. If your order consists of any coins which is on ‘pre-sale’ your complete order will be shipped out once the ‘pre-sale’ coins become available. We do not do part shipments.
 

How do I update or change any of my personal details?

You can edit any of your personal information, including your registered name, email address, registered address, and preferred delivery address by visiting My Account, My Details.
 

How do I change my password?

You can change your password by editing the personal details tab under My Details.
