Established New Zealand jewellery designer Boh Runga first captured our heartstrings four years ago with her inaugural and innovative ‘Birdland’ collection for the New Zealand Mint.
Since then Boh has worked with the mint to produce a stunning array of six collections under her name.
Now Boh adds to her first family of Birdland embellishments with her new collection of Birdland Charms for the New Zealand Mint.
The heart of a charm bracelet can be traced back to WWI; soldiers bought home trinket charms from local craftsmen for their beloveds to wear on twine and metal.
Boh’s Birdland Charms share the same connection, as each meaningful charm can be gifted from a loved one.

Each charm has been crafted to resemble an iconic New Zealand bird. The beautiful charm collection features five original native birds – the Tui, Fantail (Piwakawaka), Kiwi, Black Robin (Toutouwai) and Kakapo and a stunning silver Birdland bracelet. Prices for the collection start at $75 for charms and $229 for a bracelet and individual charm.
Beautiful sterling silver hoop earrings featuring the charms have also been added to the Birdland collection for $179.
