My wing design is inspired by the regal Karearea, or New Zealand Falcon, who’s beautiful image graces New Zealand’s $20 note. They were the vehicle used by Tohunga priests to speak with the Heavens. Take it with you wherever you go.

The Messenger Stories

The Messenger Stories is an addition to Birdland, my first collection of jewellery for the New Zealand Mint, and is inspired by the myths surrounding our native birdlife. In Maori mythology, the Gods spoke through the birds, relaying their wishes and using their forms to influence the human realm.
