World War 1 Heroes of Niue

The World War 1 Heroes of Niue, 1 oz Silver Coin commemorates the 149 Niue soldiers who fought and perished alongside the New Zealand Forces in 1915. Today, Niue commemorates the contribution and sacrifice made by these men, with annual ANZAC Day (Memorial Day) services held on April 25.

New Zealand Mint have released this beautifully designed 1 oz Silver coin which combines antique finish with a subtle use of colour. The relief engraving symbolically features a warrior in traditional costume, kneeling in remembrance of the Niuean heroes who lost their lives in World War 1. Two blood-red Poppies honour the ultimate sacrifice made 100 years ago by these brave men.

The World War 1 Heroes of Niue, 1 oz Silver Coin comes presented in a classic wooden coin case and printed outer packaging, along with a Certificate of Authenticity. This special coin has a limited mintage of 1,915 coins only.
