Disney's Mickey's Christmas Carol premiered in England on October 20, 1983. In this classic short film, Charles Dickens' well-known Christmas story is retold with Mickey Mouse as Bob Cratchit. Scrooge McDuck takes the role of penny-pinching Ebenezer Scrooge who refuses to believe that Christmas is a time for kindness and generosity. But with the help of some wise ghosts, played by Disney characters such as Goofy, Jiminy Cricket, Willie the Giant and Pete, Scrooge realises that he must embrace the true spirit of the season.

You may not know that the film was inspired by a 1974 Disney record album of the same title. However, for the film, Jiminy Cricket replaced Merlin from Sword in the Stone as Christmas Past and Pete replaced the witch from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs as Christmas Future.
