Kirk to Enterprise…

We are excited to reveal the first silver coin note in a new Star Trek Original Series Silver Coin Note Collection – the esteemed captain of the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701, Captain James T. Kirk.

The original Star Trek series, which first aired on 8 September 1966, focuses on the 23rd-century adventures of Captain James T. Kirk and the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701, a powerful interstellar spacecraft dispatched by Earth-based Starfleet Command to explore the galaxy. Kirk commands a crew of 430 men and women aboard his starship, which can travel at speeds surpassing the speed of light. Kirk’s five-year mission — and his mandate from Starfleet — is to seek out new life and new civilizations, and to boldly go where no man has gone before.

This first striking 5g pure silver note features images of Captain Kirk and U.S.S. Enterprise. The design is brought to life through the use of engraving and colour printing. The unique number in the mintage is also printed on each silver note and it is packaged inside a Star Trek-themed protective sleeve. Details of the coin note's authenticity are printed on the reverse of the sleeve.

A Star Trek Original Series Collector’s Album is also included with the purchase of this first silver coin note. This hardcover album features a page for each of the seven notes in the collection - which will also include Spock, McCoy, Scotty, Uhura, Sulu and Chekov. The album is Star Trek themed, with each page is designed to complement the corresponding note - including a biography of each character.

The obverse of the silver note features the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and is legal tender in Niue.

With a worldwide supply of only 50,000, you will need to use warp speed to get your hands on this first release with the complimentary album.
