New 1950s Retro Disney Mickey Mouse Club Coin

Following hot on the heels of our popular Mickey Mouse 90th Anniversary coin release, we have another retro Mickey Mouse Ultra High Relief 2oz silver coin to share. This time we are commemorating Disney’s popular children’s television programme, the Mickey Mouse Club, from the 1950s.

The Mickey Mouse Club was Disney’s legendary television series, that delighted both children and adults around the world since it first premiered on ABC on October 3, 1955. The hour-long show aired every weekday afternoon, featuring a cast of kids (called Mouseketeers) presenting skits and musical numbers, as well as introducing special guest stars, serials, Disney Newsreel segments from around the world, and plenty of Disney cartoons.

By the time the original series ended on September 25, 1959, an amazing 260 one-hour and 130 half-hour episodes had been produced. Disneyland fans have the Mickey Mouse Club to thank; Walt Disney’s contract with ABC provided him the money needed to finish building his first theme park!

This unique silver coin depicts a striking coloured and engraved image of the Mickey Mouse Club logo from 1955, featuring Mickey Mouse himself.

The one-of-a-kind Ultra High Relief effect is achieved using state-of-the-art minting techniques which ensure that every millimetre of the intricate design shines through and allows the image to be much higher than the face of the coin, making Mickey Mouse look like he is rising out of it!

It comes presented in a high-quality coin case and an eye-catching Mickey Mouse Club themed outer packaging. The Certificate of Authenticity sits within the packaging.

This collectible and highly desirable coin would make a fantastic keepsake for any Disney and Mickey Mouse fan or coin collector. With only 5,000 coins available worldwide, you’ll need to be quick to get yours.
