Pure Silver Foil features Supergirl’s first appearance in a DC Comic!

We are delighted to introduce another sensational Pure Silver Foil of a renowned DC Comic book cover. Made from 35g fine silver, this new release presents Superman and the first appearance of Supergirl on Action Comics #252 from May 1959.

In this introductory story Superman spies a crashing rocket and discovers his cousin, teenager Kara Zor-El, aka Supergirl. She tells him how Argo City survived the destruction of Krypton and how her father sent her to Earth when the inhabitants of Argo City were threatened by Kryptonite poisoning. Superman then sets her up in Midvale Orphanage so she can adjust to life on Earth, promising to train Kara in her new super-powers so she can help him in his fight against crime.

The unique replica cover incorporates both colour and engraving, but still remains true to the original by Curt Swan and Stan Kaye.
