BATMAN™ is one of the most recognizable and beloved DC Super Heroes of all time, and he sports one of the world's most recognized logos.
The first time that we saw BATMAN, in the Detective Comics #27 in 1939, the logo on his chest only featured a black silhouette of the wings of a bat. Over the years it has undergone several modifications. In 1964, we got the yellow background on the logo, swiftly followed in 1966 with the most recognizable and iconic version of the BATMAN logo - wings spread out on the yellow background with a prominent curve to perfectly fit the oval.
This logo persisted for over 30 years, marking the longest run for any single logo in the BATMAN saga. So, naturally, this is the version we chose for the coin!
This unique 1oz pure silver version of the logo is nestled inside a high-quality, black coin case. A unique serial number on the Certificate of Authenticity, placed inside the packaging, confirms each coin‘s number in the mintage. These are both placed inside a stylish matching box printed with the logo in gold colour.
The Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II is depicted on the obverse of the coin and confirms it as limited-edition legal tender. There will only be 5,000 available worldwide!
