Included on the coin is the pivotal scene from the film where Vader and Luke Skywalker™ duel. The battle between father and son showed that Vader, with a little bit of Anakin Skywalker™ left inside him, wanted to keep his son from falling into darkness, while Luke refused to kill his father. and let that happen.
The design is mostly in colour, but as an epic contrast, some texture using sandblasting has been added. The 55mm diameter makes for a grand design! Relief has also been added for a cool 3D effect. On the right side, the anniversary logo is featured in colour which stands out well against the frosted background.
Engraved on the obverse of the coin is the Public Seal of Niue, confirming it as legal tender. The worldwide mintage has been set at just 1,983 – reflecting the year the film was released. A nice extra touch!
Officially licensed, the coin arrives in a special edition Star Wars™ branded box, featuring the anniversary logo on the front. Inside, the box is lined with velvet and the coin is tucked inside, also held in an acrylic capsule for protection.
