You might go “quackers” over this new Chibi® Coin for Donald Duck. The fourth in the Disney series it shows Donald as we have to come to know and love him, dressed in a sailor shirt, cap and bow tie with his yellow-orange bill, legs, and feet on display.
Donald Duck is one of the most popular of the Disney cartoon characters. He made his debut in the Silly Symphony, The Wise Little Hen, on June 9, 1934. His fiery temper endeared him to audiences, and in the 1940s he took over for Mickey Mouse in the number of cartoons reaching the theatres! Eventually, there were 128 Donald Duck cartoons, but he also appears in a number of others with Mickey Mouse and the rest of the gang.
This delightful keepsake can be displayed without having to remove it from the box, as a result of a large window built into the Disney-themed packaging. Although the 1oz of pure silver inside has been shaped and coloured to represent Donald, it is still a legal tender coin and has the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse.
