Montgomery Scott, fondly known as “Scotty” by the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise, joins the Star Trek Pure Silver Chibi® Coin Series. This fourth release follows Kirk, Spock and Leonard “Bones” McCoy from the original television series.
Born in 2222, “Scotty” joined the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise as Lt Commander and became chief engineer under Capt. James T Kirk. He was highly regarded as a miracle worker, and while he stated “I can’t change the Laws of Phsyics”, he was the mastermind who saved the ship and its crew from many a dire situation.
This 1oz pure silver Chibi® Coin for the skilled chief engineer has been coloured and shaped to show Scott in his distinctive red Starfleet uniform. The Star Trek-themed box complements the coin inside, which can be viewed through the large window, and allows you to display your precious collectible without having to touch it!
That said, if you do want a close-up view, the coin inside is further protected by a custom-made acrylic capsule. As certified legal tender, you will see the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse and there is a Certificate of Authenticity on the box.
