The Fool features on the first release in our new Tarot Cards coin collection. This 1oz pure silver coin shows a coloured and engraved representation of The Fool on a rectangular coin - to mirror the shape of a Tarot card. The obverse has a striking engraved border around the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. It is legal tender in Niue.
The Fool starts the journey through the emblematic Tarot cards known as the Major Arcana. Much of the Major Arcana is told as ‘The Story of the Fool’. As card number zero, The Fool represents the number of unlimited potential.
This card is generally an important and positive card in the Tarot deck, signifying the start of a new journey. The Fool encourages an open, curious mind and a sense of excitement. He is often shown looking outward, ready to take a leap of faith. In Reverse, the Fool card may point to a feeling of being stopped from doing something; or it can hint towards inexperience and recklessness when pursuing a new venture.
The coin is placed in custom-made book-style packaging which also includes information on the meaning of the card. The Certificate of Authenticity and the coin’s unique number in the mintage of only 2,000 can be found underneath the coin.
This would make a special gift for anyone with an interest in Tarot as well as a great addition to any coin collection.
