It follows the journey of a young hobbit. Frodo Baggins who, accompanied by eight companions, embarks on a mission to destroy the One Ring in the fires of Mount Doom. Like it’s successors, the film is widely regarded as one of the greatest and most influential films ever made.
Created in partnership with Warner Bros. Consumer Products, this impressive piece is made with 1oz of pure silver and is crafted to mimic the original poster of movie which came out in December 2001. The reverse showcases a frosted image of the Gates of Argonath, which creates a stunning contrast with the coloured landscape of the Andurin river. It also includes the engraving of the phrase ‘The Legend Comes to Life’ and the films logo. To further enhance the design, a mirror finish surrounds the image. The obverse includes the Ian Rank Broadley effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, confirming the coin’s legal tender status.
It is tucked in blue velvet that comes in specially designed packaging with a large window, so you can display your precious collectible without having to even touch it! A Certificate of Authenticity is printed at the back, next to the coin’s specifications. Below, the coin’s unique number in the mintage is displayed.
