The second dinosaur coin to feature in our exciting new Dinosaur Collection struck in 1oz pure silver is the tremendous Triceratops. Its name is a combination of the Greek words tri, meaning "three," kéras, meaning "horn," and ops, meaning "face". Triceratops had two massive horns above its eyes and a smaller horn on its snout. It is likely that it used them to charge predators and/or in mating rituals.
The towering Tyrannosaurus Rex features on the first release in the exciting new Dinosaur coin collection struck in 1oz pure silver. The name Tyrannosaurus Rex comes from Greek and Latin words meaning ‘Tyrant Lizard King’.
