A timeless classic that has been loved for generations since its release in 1942, Bambi and Thumper now join this first release in our special Disney’s Bambi 80th anniversary collection!
Soon after Bambi was born, a strong friendship was formed with the energetic rabbit, Thumper — named for his habit of thumping his left hind foot. Thumper took it into his hands to teach Bambi the ropes, such as how to walk, talk, and various other tricks. Even though he is a good friend, Thumper is rather mischievous and often gives his close friends advice on many topics, but they usually get them into trouble.
This enchanting 1oz pure silver coin showcases a coloured image of the carefree young prince hanging out with his fun-loving bunny pal. The engraving along the bottom confirms it’s a full 1oz of .999 fine silver and provides the Disney authentication. To verify the coin’s legal tender status, the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Ian Rank-Broadley is on the obverse.
Officially licensed, each limited-edition coin is placed in a beautiful custom-designed themed box, which includes a wider coin image of Bambi, Thumper and the other woodland creatures. A Certificate of Authenticity is printed at the back of the box along with the coin’s unique number. The mintage has also been set at just 1,942 coins - to reflect the year the film was released.
