The first release in our new coin series, Women in History, features the remarkable Marie Curie! This beautiful 1oz silver coin shows a coloured image of Marie and part of her Nobel Prize Diploma against a mirror background that lets the silver shine! Her engraved name and signature further enhance the design. To confirm the coin is legal tender, the obverse bears The Ian Effigy of Queen Elizabeth II and a Certificate of Authenticity is printed on the box.
Along with her husband, she discovered the elements polonium and radium which led them to win the Nobel Prize in 1903. She is the first woman and the only person to win the Nobel Prize in two scientific fields, winning her second for chemistry in 1911.
Each coin arrives nestled in black velvet and is placed inside a lovely, custom-designed box. Printed at the back, you will find the coin’s unique number in the limited mintage of just 2,000 coins. Flip open the box to get the specifications confirming it is made from .999 pure silver!
A wonderful tribute to this extraordinary woman, order yours today!
