Pat Garrett – An Unlucky Lawman
Born in Alabama in 1850, Pat Garrett headed west in 1869 to pursue a life as a cowboy. He eventually settled in New Mexico, where he became sheriff of Lincoln County, New Mexico. As sheriff, he caught and later killed Billy the Kid, an infamous American outlaw.
