Oswald the Lucky Rabbit is one of Walt Disney’s early animated stars, and is one of the first characters in animation history to feature a unique personality. Walt introduced Oswald to moviegoers in 1927 with the short Trolley Troubles. Twenty-six Oswald short films were created by Walt and his team, with the final Disney shorts starring the character releasing in 1928.
In 2006, The Walt Disney Company reacquired Oswald as part of an assets exchange with Universal. After almost 70 years, Oswald was finally home at Disney, taking his place alongside Mickey and the rest of the Disney family.

This special coin is made of 1oz pure silver, showing Disney’s Oswald in colour, on both sides, bursting through the coin – how adorable!
