We are excited to announce the release of two new coins to celebrate the 90th Anniversary of Disney’s favourite pup Pluto.
Pluto starred in 48 of his own cartoons, but also appeared along with Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck in many of their cartoons. The dog who would eventually evolve into Pluto made his debut as a bloodhound in the Mickey Mouse cartoon, The Chain Gang, in 1930 and the following year finally became Mickey’s dog Pluto in The Moose Hunt.
These 1oz pure silver coin [MINTAGE SOLD OUT] and the ¼oz pure gold coin [MINTAGE SOLD OUT] show Mickey Mouse giving his original buddy the biggest hug. Both coins are presented in a delightful, modern packaging design incorporating more Pluto and Mickey icons and images.
Each coin carries an individually numbered Certificate of Authenticity but, with only 1,930 silver coins and 100 gold coins available, you will need to get in quick to secure a memento of your favourite fido!
