**MINTAGE SOLD OUT**
Disney Winnie the Pooh – Winnie & Christopher Robin 1oz Silver Coin
Our Disney Winnie the Pooh Collection would not be complete without a coin featuring Winnie’s best friend Christopher Robin.
The character of Christopher Robin was based on author A. A. Milne's son, Christopher Robin Milne, and the character of Winnie the Pooh was based on a teddy bear loved by Christopher. Christopher Robin appears in Milne's poems and in his two books: Winnie the Pooh (1926) and The House at Pooh Corner (1928). In the books he is a young boy and one of Pooh's best friends. He is depicted as a cheerful, compassionate, adventurous, fun-loving, imaginative and helpful boy. Despite being a child, he is much wiser and more mature than many of the other characters and is someone Pooh and the others look up to.
We have chosen to showcase the comedic moment when Christopher Robin attempts to pull Winnie out of Rabbit’s house after he eats too much honey and gets stuck! A truly delightful image, it is shown in glorious colour on this 1oz pure silver coin with partial engraving of the silver adding to the overall design.
A Certificate of Authenticity is provided and confirms the coin as one of only 3,000 that will be produced. Packed in an acrylic display block inside a Winnie the Pooh themed box, this is a unique collectible for any fan, so why not treat yourself? As Pooh says “I know I don’t need one, but I would like one very, very much”.
