Created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko in 1962 on the pages of Marvel’s Amazing Fantasy #15 comic book, Spider-Man has come to life in a wide variety of ways since then. This lovable and rather awkward teenage Super Hero entered the hearts of fans all over the world.
Now, the hero is celebrated each year with Spider-Man Day on August 1!
The rectangular coin displays a detailed, coloured image of the hero doing what he does best! The buildings behind him have been left engraved with a frosted finish which contrasts brilliantly with the mirrored background. This piece truly is amazing (😉)! Flip the coin over to the obverse to find the Public Seal of Niue which confirms it as legal tender.
Each coin is held in an acrylic capsule and then tucked inside a compact, themed box. The large window on the front ensures you can easily show it off in your Marvel collection! Printed on the back of the box is a Certificate of Authenticity and the coin’s unique number in the mintage.
