Bambi ― as with most of his friends ― is like any deer in any forest. In his early youth, Bambi has the full measure of charm that many young mammals display, with his wide eyes, spindly legs, curious nature, and cute voice.
Who can forget one of the first moments in the film where we witness the curiosity of the adorable young prince is when he is only a few days old. Bambi is taking a walk with Thumper through the forest when they come across several birds. Thumper teaches Bambi how to say ‘bird’, then curious Bambi runs off chasing a butterfly, thinking it was a bird. The butterfly then flies off, leaving a confused Bambi to think the yellow flower in front of him was the butterfly he saw.
Officially licensed, this coin features a beautiful, coloured image of Bambi with the butterfly on his tail, and Thumper and his sisters watching excitedly. For contrast, the tree behind them has been engraved and frosted, accentuating the silver. A touch of mirror-finish is also included in the design.
The engraving along the bottom confirms it’s a full 1oz .999 fine silver and provides the Disney authentication. To confirm the coin as legal tender, the obverse displays the effigy of Queen Elizabeth ll.
This precious piece arrives in a themed, custom-designed box with a wider version of the image seen on the coin. A certificate of Authenticity is printed at the back of the box, along with the coin’s unique number in the limited mintage.
