Our commemorative series for Disney 100 Years of Wonder continues, and today we bring you an extra special memento. Made of 5g pure silver, this coin note features Walt Disney himself alongside his most famous creation!
Walt Disney is a legend, a folk hero of the 20th century. His worldwide popularity was based upon the ideas which his name represents: imagination, optimism and self-made success in the American tradition. Walt Disney did more to touch the hearts, minds and emotions of millions of Americans than any other man in the past century. Through his work, he brought joy, happiness and a universal means of communication to the people of every nation. Certainly, our world shall know but one Walt Disney.
This coin note is fully engraved to show one of the most iconic images of Walt Disney. He is seen standing in a doorway as the shadow of Disney’s Mickey Mouse reflects off the wall. On the back is the Disney logo surrounded by many of the beloved Disney characters (we certainly couldn’t fit them all!). These are shown in a mirror-finish, making the 999 fine silver shine. The Public Seal of Niue confirms the coin note as legal tender.
For easy display, the coin note sits in a unique holder. Turn to the back to find the specifications stating its limited mintage of 5,000. The memento is kept safe inside a special edition box featuring the Disney100 logo.
