**MINTAGE SOLD OUT**
Today we reveal the first in a new Star Wars™ Battle Scenes collection, showcasing the Battle of Hoth™ from Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back™. To do justice to the design on these coins they have been made in 3oz pure silver to give a large 55mm diameter canvas!
Who can forget the Battle of Hoth, an Imperial invasion led by Darth Vader™ aimed at destroying the Rebel Alliance's Echo Base™ hidden on the remote ice world. General Maximilian Veers™ led a squadron of AT-AT Walker™’s to knock out the shield generator that protected Echo Base. It was considered a major victory for the Galactic Empire™ and the single worst battlefield defeat suffered by the Rebel Alliance™ during the Galactic Civil War™.
Contributors in the battle - AT-AT Walkers, a Scout Walker, a Star Destroyer, and a Snowtrooper™ - are shown in engraved relief with a frosted finish on this huge coin. These are complemented by a coloured background landscape and a mirror finish sky. This coin really has it all!
All the coins are placed in high-quality packaging with Star Wars branding. Each has a Certificate of Authenticity to confirm it as legal tender and shows the coin’s unique number in its mintage - which is a small 1,000 for this big 3oz coin!
This battle was unusual in that the good guys lost - forced to retreat under heavy Imperial fire, losing soldiers, ordnance, and military material. Make sure you don’t you lose out on this one!
