The Legend of Billy the Kid:
Born Henry McCarty but known to the world as Billy the Kid, this young gunslinger rose to infamy during the tumultuous days of the American frontier. A central figure in the Lincoln County War, Billy became a symbol of the untamed West—a charismatic, quick-witted, and elusive figure who lived on the fringes of society.
The Design:
Crafted with precision and attention to detail, the coin is a masterpiece. It displays the infamous outlaw in relief and captured on a wanted poster. Punched-out bullet holes are included for an extra dose of realism. The antique finish gives a rustic charm as if the coin has gone through the messy trails of history. To further embrace the frontier spirit, the inscriptions ‘Outlaw Billy the Kid’ and ‘Wild West’ have been applied. As legal tender, the Public Seal of Niue is engraved on the obverse.
