Each powerful keepsake shows an engraving of Thor in a strong stance, holding his greatest weapon, and closest ally, Mjolnir – an enhanced hammer forged from Uru metal. Thor uses this hammer to summon rain, wind, lightning, and thunder, though he has also been known to produce lightning from his hands. When spun, the mallet can allow Thor to fly, hover, and even open portals to other dimensions and realms. When thrown, it acts as a sort of boomerang, destroying all things or beings in its path before returning to its owner.
The 1oz and 3oz silver coins display his cape in vibrant colour, a great contrast against the mirror-finish background. His emblem is engraved to the side and relief and texture, using sandblasting, have been added to enhance the striking design.
Fully engraved, the 1oz and ¼oz gold coins display a detailed close-up image of the hero. Relief and texture are added, and the mirrored background makes the fine gold shine.
Confirming the coins as legal tender, the Public Seal of Niue can be found on the obverse. Each memento has a limited worldwide mintage – the 1oz gold as low as just 250! You’ll need superhuman speed to get hold of one of these!
Officially licensed, each special piece arrives in a custom-designed, themed box and includes a Certificate of Authenticity and the coin’s unique number. The gold coins have a separate wooden display case.
