Raphael is the third to feature in our Archangel Coin Collection struck in 1oz pure silver.
The coin features a peaceful image of the Archangel from a 1920 stained-glass window by Mary Hutchinson in Hull Minster, UK. An intricately engraved border frames both sides of the coin, which is legal tender in Niue. The effigy is of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Ian Rank-Broadley.
Archangel Raphael’s name means ‘God heals’. He is the archangel designated for physical and emotional healing - restoring and maintaining harmony and peace. He is also the patron of travellers, watching over them to ensure a safe and harmonious journey. As with this coin, he is often depicted holding a staff that represents healing or an emblem called a caduceus that features a staff and represents the medical profession.
The acrylic block that protects the coin is magnetized to allow the coin to be removed and admired, and the slimline outer box reflects Raphael’s energy colour of green – a peaceful hue for this healer.
A Certificate of Authenticity arrives with each coin to confirm its unique number in the mintage of just 2,000. Don’t miss your chance to own one of these unique limited-edition coins.
