The Incredible Hulk #1, produced by the legendary team of writer Stan Lee and artist Jack Kirby, hit the stands in May 1962. In this first issue, Hulk isn’t portrayed with his signature green skin but is a muted grey colour instead. However, because the printing process rendered the grey hue differently from page to page, Marvel switched to green in the next issue! Hulk would eventually become one of Marvel’s most popular superheroes so regardless of colour, this famous comic cover still resonates with fans worldwide.
