For all American History buffs, we have a special announcement for you! Today we launch the first coin in our Mt. Rushmore Presidents Chibi® Coin series, starting off with none other than the United States founding father, George Washington!
In 1789, Washington was inaugurated as the first president of the nation and set the example for others that followed. Some traditions he implemented were how treaties with other countries would be negotiated, and how the president selected and received advice from cabinet members. He also arranged federal judges, and government services such as banks and worked hard to keep peace with Native Americans and European nations.
This handsomely illustrated coin is coloured and shaped to resemble him in his war uniform, striking a formal pose. On the obverse side is the Ian Rank Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, to confirm it as legal tender.
Each coin is preserved in an acrylic case, moulded to its shape which allows protection for years to come. A Certificate of Authenticity and the coin’s unique serial number in the limited mintage of 2,000 pure silver coins are printed on the box.
