Chibi® Coin Collectibles

‘Chibi’ is a style of caricature originating in Japan where characters are created in an exaggerated way, typically small and chubby with stubby limbs and an oversized head. They are usually drawn on paper but have been innovated by NZ Mint on a silver coin.

Made from pure silver, each Chibi® Coin is legal tender with the Public Seal of Niue on the obverse. On the reverse, collectors will see animated caricatures based on various characters in pop culture - the range consists of DC characters, Marvel, Star Wars™, Disney, HARRY POTTER™, THE LORD OF THE RINGS™ and more.
